The 2024 Jay Criscione & Family Golf Tournament honors & celebrates Ted Powell.

Born and raised in West Columbia, SC, Ted graduated from Brookland Cayce High School in 1983, and attended the Unviersity of SC. He began his electrical career with his father Dan Powell, Vice President of Carolina Electrical, before opening Powerll Electrical in 1989 after earning his Master's Electrician licensure.

In January of 2022 while renewing his life insurance policy, Ted took a PSA (Prostate - Specfiic antigen) test. The concerning results led to a urologist referral at Lexington Medical Center. After discussing treatment options, Ted chose prostate removal surgery in October of 2024. He has since made a remarkable recovery, with PSA levels dropping to .01

He urges every gentleman aged 55-69 to get an annual prostate exam. Prostate Cancer is highly treatable if detected early, potentially saving your life. He believes in fundraising campaigns like Cancer of Many Colors, to support the community.
